It is nonsense to say IRA bombs were OK

The selective condemnation of terrorist bombings in Manchester by Sinn Fein serves to highlight the unashamed hypocrisy of Irish republicans.

It cannot be allowed to propagate the nonsense that republican terrorist bombs were ‘legitimate’ whilst others are unjustified.

The logic is perverse. The outcome of any terror attack is innocent people die, suffer pain and lose loved ones because of the deliberate actions of others.

Terrorism should never be endorsed, whether the support is evidenced by the recent eulogising of gunmen in Loughgall or by refusing to condemn the work of bombers in Manchester in 1996.
