It would be justified to use state force to stop terror at Loughgall and Loughinisland
I agree with Ben Lowry's belief ('˜Film world seems to have no desire to scrutinise all terror,' November 4) that a killing intervention to stop the loyalist murderers in Loughinisland in 1994 would have been justifiable using state security.
Based on the equivalence of intention, I also think that SAS attack on an IRA gang at Loughall in 1987 during a similar intention was well justified.
However, much space has been awarded by some media on actions that IRA supporters want against the soldiers.
