I fear Executive lacks the wit to act on infrastructure

Having read the footnote of the editorial regarding road improvements, I was pleasantly surprised at the mention of the A26 and A57 between Moira and Templepatrick.

A long-overlooked thorn in the side of thousands of travellers and an ignored choice for a relief road linking north and south of the Province, as a viable alternative to the M1-A12-M2 horror story through Belfast.

Perhaps it is time to seriously look at the parallel rail route, improve it, and link it to rhe international airport?

Would there be any politicians with the foresight to look at the compulsory purchase of Belfast Aldergrove airport and run it under a progressive airport authority like Dublin’s?

Sadly, I fear there is neither the intelligence or willingness in the Executive to encourage real infrastructure changes geared to jobs and employment not just for the medium term but also for next two or three generations.

Take note, electorate.
