Leaving unionists to fend for themselves if there is a united Ireland

Recent correspondence in you paper has questioned the mellowed relationship and stance between Arlene Foster and that of Sinn Fein (July 20).

I would like to share my perspective on this.

I remember watching a documentary were Arlene Foster was asked the hypothetical question in the case of a united Ireland would she remain in Northern Ireland? To which I believe she answered no.

So she is happy to sit impotent in a Stormont executive sharing power with republicans (wasn’t there a phrase IRA I Ran Away?) up to the point of a united Ireland.

When that time comes she will pack her bags and leave the unionist population to fend for themselves.
