The reason hospitals are not overwhelmed is that people have had the wit to heed advice and stay at home

The article about a doctor saying that lockdown is doing more harm that good is totally irresponsible.

I am a doctor of 40 years standing.

Thankfully we are more like South Korea in our number of cases and the Covid-19 units are not so busy because of lockdown.

This is at the level of Donald Trump saying drinking disinfectant might help with coronavirus.

I am shocked that you could print this from one misguided opinion!

One of my relatives lost three sons and her husband in 10 days during the flu pandemic of 1918.

My grandmother almost died.

Is that what we want to see here?

I am so grateful to the people who have had the wit to stay home and protect our NHS because that is what is stopping our hospitals being overwhelmed.

A newspaper of your standing should not print such stuff.

It could lead to someone breaking lockdown and getting or giving the infection to others or to a member of the NHS getting the virus.
