Everything from a public holiday to Expo 2021 has been proposed, not to mention street parties, flags, bands, parades and payments to pensioners who will have reached one hundred years of age.

But, has anyone considered it might be time to revisit, renew and modernise the historic Ulster Solemn League and Covenant in order to embrace the shared society our country now needs to survive another one hundred years?
