Mayor of London should back a new runway

It is quite frustrating to see the Mayor of London, Mr Sadiq Khan, voice his objection to the third runway which recently got the government go ahead.

Surely the mayor of our capital city is supposed to welcome any new boosts to the economy.

Surely he is to welcome the extra gateways this will provide to cities in and around the UK. Surely he is to welcome the boost to numbers entering London.

In a normal world, you would expect a mayor to welcome these things, but instead, we have Mr Khan being a rigid Labour man, following Jeremy Corbyn’s roots, refusing to support anything the Conservative government puts through, even when it does benefit the people of the UK.
