A non designated party might come first or second in a Stormont election but be unable to take up first minister posts
How would the first and deputy first minister be elected if a non-designated party (eg Alliance) finished first or second largest party in an assembly election?
It would appear that St Andrews Agreement prevents Alliance taking either of these posts.
