People believe that the phrase Brits Out refers to a population, not the establishment

Re Mary Russell (‘Northern Ireland is indeed a place apart,’ March 8), my point about the phrase ‘Brits out’ is it is not treated as hate speech, while trying to justify it by saying it refers to the British establishment will give it a degree of respectability
