The political elite has made Trump electable

They meddled with interest rates (affecting savers and mortgage holders) creating asset booms followed by stock market crashes, banking collapses, property crashes, trillions of dollars of government and personal debt, pension deficits and today an economy so adversely skewed that raising interest rates to normal levels may precipitate further crashes.

They were caught napping on 9/11 when terrorist attacks killed over 3,000 people.

Invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan followed.

These in turn created Islamic State which in turn spread terrorist attacks across the world.

Along with dodgy emails and accusations of ignoring the working class, the American political elite now have a new accomplishment; they have made Donald Trump electable to the American voter.
