Shaking hands and nodding heads is not a substitute for repentence for 30 years of terrorism

Ben Lowry's article ('˜Why I think unionists should have been in Dublin on Easter Sunday', April 2) is well written and the arguments understandable.

But we are still coming out of 30 years of Sinn Fein/IRA violence with no stated condemnation or regret by those allowed into a power sharing government and no Republic of Ireland admission of their part in not stamping out a cross border sanctuary.

The victims are still seeking justice and truth.

Shaking hands and nodding heads is not convincing many in the absence of true repentance. Former terrorists want government state forces standing in the confessional box but they will not break their oath to the terrorist organisation they served.
