Orangemen resign after '˜dirty deal' on return Twaddell parade
The Orangeman said fellow members “bowed to pressure with a result they are now dancing to a republicans tune”.
The lodge member, who asked not to be named, said he made the decision last night after a meeting on taking part in a return parade on Ulster Day (September 28). He said he “thinks around eight other members are going to leave”.

Hide Ad“You don’t put in for a parade next year and then the real deal is you go straight into dialogue with Sinn Fein and CARA.
“And you don’t apply again until you have permission from the residents group.”
He added: “There is a lot of anger in the community - but I want to thank all the people who stood along with us over the last three years for all the right reasons.”
Loyalists set up a “permanent” base on Twaddell Avenue in 2013 after Orangemen were banned by the Parades Commission from marching past the Ardoyne on their way home from that year’s July 12 celebrations.
