Coronavirus NI: Seven more people die with COVID-19 - 36 people fighting for their lives in ICU - 533 new infections - 140 confirmed cases in NI Care Homes

The latest dashboard reveals that 4 people died within the last 24 hours - and another three died outside that time frame.

This now means that 954 people have died with Coronavirus in NI.

The latest statistics also reveal that another 533 people have been diagnosed as having the virus.

And 2421 have tested positive in the last 7 days.

The department’s daily dashboard said today’s infections figure may be higher than normal due to an “issue with the flow of data” on pillar two tests (lab tests carried out through the NHS nationwide programme) which saw yesterday’s figure lower than expected.

A total of 50,676 people have now tested positive for Covid-19 in Northern Ireland since the pandemic began.

According to the DoH dashboard there are now 36 people fighting for their lives in ICU - and there are a total of 443 COVID-19 confirmed patients in our hospitals.

Meanwhile there are 140 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in NI Care Homes.
