The Lisnaskea-based South East Fermanagh Foundation organised a drive-in family carol service in Lisbellaw with more than 80 cars arriving at Crawford’s sawmill yard for the event.

SEFF director of services Kenny Donaldson said that the event came against a backdrop of sadness where many of those at the service were not just victims of terrorism but had loved ones who had died of the virus over recent months.

He said: “We are immensely proud that throughout the worst of these days, the SEFF family remained firmly intact and we have continued to function in providing a service to members, via partner groups and the broader community.

“This focus of service is essential to our being – and going forward in 2021 we must continue to keep connected with what our core purpose is as an organisation; supporting the innocent victims and survivors of terrorism and being part of the strengthening of the community.”

Mr Donaldson added: “We also implore you to care for those who have limited family structures around them at this time – let’s be the best neighbours we can be.”
