Fallen and injured walker rescued in Mournes after ‘steep and mucky climb’

Police and members of the Mourne Mountain Rescue Team yesterday eveniing rescued a woman who had fallen.

A post on Police Newry, Mourne and Down Facebook page says: “After a steep (and mucky) climb, the casualty was located.

“Thanks to the skills of MMRT, she was brought to the bottom safely where she will be receiving medical attention.

“Working together and #KeepingPeopleSafe”
