Fundraiser for nurse in NI Care Home who is fighting for his life with COVID-19 has hit £4k of £8k target - tragic nurse who is sole breadwinner for family has already spent 9 weeks in hospital

An appeal on Gofundme asks for help for the male nurse who had been working in a NI Care Homes after arriving in Belfast from the Philippines in 2019.
The Gofundme appeal has already raised almost £4,050 of a £8,000 target.

Hide AdThe appeal on the fundraising page says: “Christoffer ‘Chris’ Auditor is a nurse in one of the care homes here in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
“He arrived here 2019, and after getting his license as a UK nurse by the blessing of the Lord he was able to get his family to be with him.
“When the UK was hit hard by the global pandemic Covid-19 Chris was one of the front liners who fought and took care of the elderly and fulfilled his duty as a nurse even though he knew that it would be risky to his health and dreams.
“He never hesitated to selflessly share his life to his patients”.

Hide AdThe post adds that after being etsted for COVID-19 in April 2020, Chris was admitted to hospital for treatment - and during the course of this he experienced “muscle spasm all over his body and had seizure episodes”.
After investigations into this, “specialists discovered a mass on his left lung” and “his mobility was severely affected”.
The post adds: “Chris is the breadwinner and the sole provider to his family here in Belfast.
“Since he is confined in the hospital his family needs financial assistance to get them going while Chris is battling to combat Covid-19.
