The mum-of-two, who passed away on Friday, had been overwhelmed by the support of the community praising the kindness and generosity of local people which she described as “an army of love”.

A Just Giving page set up by Angeline Campbell generated over £4,600 in support of Ciara and her daughters Reagan and Aria with the local Pigeon Club, The Thatch bar and The Bodega also helping to raise funds.

Ciara was well-known in the town’s hospitality sector having worked in Dan Campbell’s pub for several years.

A number of businesses reached out to offer their services free of charge to the family.

Ciara, then aged 37, told the Larne Times in November 2019 that she had been “overwhelmed by the response of everyone in the town.

Ciara was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016 going through several months of treatment before getting the all-clear. Sadly, the illness returned just five months later.

“She was one of the rare ones, so effortlessly herself and the world loved her for it.”

Afterwards, burial will take place at Larne Cemetery.
