No deaths recorded with COVID-19 in NI in last 24 hours - ONE person tests positive for virus in NI - only three patients fighting for lives in ICU

No deaths have been recorded in NI in the last 24 hours, according to the Department of Health.

The latest dashboard also records that only one person has tested positive for the virus in NI.

The one new case recorded by the department since yesterday was in Causeway Coast and Glens council area.

The highest number of cases to date are in the Belfast area.

The death toll still stands at 543 for Northern Ireland.

This is made up of 283 men and 259 women.

It also reveals that three people are now fighting for their lives in Intensive Care Units.

And there are now 50 cases on COVID-19 in Care Homes in NI - and 23 suspected cases of coronavirus.

Meanwhile a total of 4863 people in NI have tested positive for having coronavirus.

Stormont ministers are set to announce a series of new lockdown relaxations later on Thursday.

The news comes as the PA news agency reported that they understand that shielding advice to people in at-risk categories will be paused at the end of July.

Shools are set to reopen for key year groups on August 24.

Meanwhile, it is understood hairdressers and salons will be allowed to reopen on July 6.

An announcement is also expected that churches services can resume at the end of June
