Noah Donohoe: Book of online Condolences opened by Belfast City Council and Derry City and Strabane Council for people to pay respect

An online Book of Condolences has neen opened by Belfast City Council for Noah Donohoe.

Lord Mayor of Belfast, Alderman McCoubrey said over this past week “the community – particularly the north Belfast community – was united in one purpose, assisting the PSNI and Community Rescue teams in the search for Noah; and when the heartbreaking news came through on Saturday, we all had heavy hearts.”

He added: “It is my hope that the outpouring of support from across the city and beyond will bring some comfort to his family at this difficult time.”

It will remain open until 12noon on Wednesday July 8. The first message on the online book in memory of Noah was left by Alderman McCoubrey.

He wrote: “On behalf of the city of Belfast, I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to Noah’s family and friends.

“The loss of a child is unimaginable. Noah will be profoundly missed by those who knew and loved him most”.

Meanwhile a Book of Condolence has opened online in Derry City and Strabane Council.

It says: “Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council Cllr Brian Tierney is encouraging the public to show solidarity and sympathy with the family of the Belfast teenager Noah Donohue whose body was recovered six days after he was reported missing by his family.

“By signing the Book of Condolence below you can express your sympathy to Noah’s family and friends at this very difficult time”.
