Stars line up for NSPCC’s virtual Christmas cabaret

Radio and TV personality Marcus spearheaded the idea as the charity’s annual Carols by Candlelight Service which normally takes place at St Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast has been cancelled.

Regular Carols by Candlelight host and local TV personality Pamela Ballentine will be joining Marcus to present the concert on December 11.

The pre-recorded gig will feature Belfast singers Brian Kennedy and Brian Houston who will be joined by local and international talents.

Each act will perform festive songs and the concert will also feature thoughts from local minister, the Rev Jonathan Abernethy-Barkley and other special guests.

NSPCC Northern Ireland’s charity partners at Lidl Northern Ireland with also be taking part along with pupils from Killard House School in Donaghadee, Co Down, and Knockbreda Primary School in Belfast who will showcase their vocal talents.

Marcus said: “We are all so pleased to be able to bring everyone together to raise vital funds for Childline in Northern Ireland. The concert will be available to purchase for up to four weeks after the event for people to enjoy from home over the festive period.”
