In a post on Facebook he said: “Sorry to say folks but the planned shows for tonight, tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday in Europa have had to be cancelled due to the tightening of restrictions by the NI Executive.

“The shows last Friday and Saturday were a huge success with both Environmental Health and the PSNI observing them and giving them the all clear.

“However, in light of the further tightening restrictions on live entertainment & the hospitality industry, the Europa have been forced to cancel the remaining 4 shows.

“The hotel are in the process of contacting ticketholders and refunds will be issued.

“Personally, I am gutted to not be able to end the year with these gigs given how much craic the first 2 were and how amazing the feedback was.

“I know a lot of you were looking forward to these as a rare outing at the end of a tough year and so was I.
