Two people test positive for COVID-19 in last 24 hours - 5,790 have tested positive to date - death toll remains at 556 - 1 person in ICU

No deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours in NI, according to the Department of Health.

But two more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours - bringing the total number of infections to 5,790.

One case was recorded in Mid and East Antrim, the second was in Newry, Mourne and Down.

According to the dashboard there have been 27 positive tests in the last 7 days.

This can be divided into 291 men and 264 women.

To date 372 of those who died were aged 80-years and older - 159 people were aged 60-79 years - 23 people were in the 40-59 age group - and two others were outside those groups.

As it stands today there is one person in ICU in Northern Ireland - categorised as COVID-19 ventilated.

There are now 12 confirmed cases of coronavirus in NI Care Homes - and 13 suspected cases of COVID-19.

On Monday, the Irish Department of Health reported no new coronavirus-related deaths and 11 new cases. The total number of deaths stands at 1,746, with 25,638 cases

On Monday, the UK’s Department of Health reported 11 additional deaths, bringing total deaths to 44,830. It recorded 530 new cases, bringing the total number to 290,133
