An exhibition about the September 11 terrorist attacks on New York in 2001 has returned to Northern Ireland.
Culture Minister Caral Ni Chuilin of Sinn Fein yesterday welcomed the return of the exhibition to the Public Record Office (PRONI).
Ground Zero 360°: A Photographic Retrospective uses harrowing visuals, chilling audio clips and a unique panoramic installation to depict the aftermath of one of the most tragic events in American history – 9/11.
Minister Ni Chuilin said: “I am particularly pleased to be hosting this exhibition during the World Police and Fire Games.
“We are preparing to welcome visitors from across America and across the world for the games.
“While the games are a time for celebration, this exhibition is a poignant reminder of the work service personnel do, the sacrifices they make and their commitment to public safety.
“It demonstrates both the humanity and the heroism of all those involved in the recovery operation on September 11, 2001.”
The exhibition runs until August 23 and admission is free.
