PSNI recover stolen digger with public assistance

Detectives from the PSNI's Reactive & Organised Crime Branch in Enniskillen have recovered a stolen digger - thanks to information from the public.

The plant machinery was recovered in the early hours of this morning in the Gardiners Cross Road area, near Maguiresbridge, after

police received a call from a member of the public.

It is believed that the digger was stolen from the Sligo area.

Detective Inspector Trevor Stevenson said: “This is another successful example of the public and police working together. The information received in the call was vital to us recovering this stolen digger, which is an expensive piece of machinery. I would ask anyone who knows anything about any criminality in their area to contact police on the non-emergency number 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Please make the call - your piece of information could be key in solving a crime or returning stolen equipment to its rightful owner.”
