Rev John Pickering: Everyone is welcome at church services, whether a loyal order member or not

With reference to your article (May 2) on the Theological Report to the Church of Ireland:
Jesus said: My house shall be a house of prayer for all nations (people)Jesus said: My house shall be a house of prayer for all nations (people)
Jesus said: My house shall be a house of prayer for all nations (people)

I hold that no questions should be raised about whether the Church of Ireland should hold services attended by members of any of the loyal orders, because it is a God-given right and a human right, and so everyone is welcome to attend, whether a member of a loyal order or not.

Jesus said: “My house shall be a house of prayer for all nations (people)” St Mark 11:17, New Testament, and Isaiah 56:17, Old Testament.

Therefore, there is no need to moot any idea of a diocesan group to consider the attendance of members of the loyal orders at church services.

I call for all thoughts of curtailment of the loyal orders’ attendance at church services to be abandoned.
