The only Orange demonstration in the Irish Republic takes place at Rossnowlagh, Co Donegal, on Saturday.

Fifty lodges from Donegal, Cavan, Leitrim and Monaghan, as well as hundreds of Northern Ireland Orangemen, and headed by 30 bands, will flock to the picturesque Atlantic coastal resort.

The parade will start close to St John’s Parish Church at 12.30pm and make its way to the demonstration field near the shoreline.

A religious service will be held at 3pm, conducted by local Church of Ireland rector the Rev Brian Russell.

Speakers will include the Deputy Grand Master of Ireland, Harold Henning, and Donegal Grand Master David Mahon.
