North Belfast DUP MLA William Humphrey has claimed that members of Sinn Fein youth have stuck posters on his constituency office describing RAF air strikes against IS as terrorism.

The posters bore emblems claiming to represent Sinn Fein Republican Youth and Mairead Farrell Republican Youth Committee, he said.

“It is deeply ironic for any part of Sinn Fein to accuse anyone of supporting terrorism, given their persistent support of murderous IRA terrorism,” the MLA added.

Details of the 1am postering have been passed to police, he said.

Sinn Fein responded that British military intervention in Syria will only “add to the cycle of violence”. It declined to comment on the alleged postering due to the ongoing police investigation.
