The fire brigade said that they were called to deal with an incident in which tyres were set alight in the Limestone Road area at about 8.25pm on Tuesday.

Despite being a relatively modest-sized fire, which required just two fire engines to extinguish, the fire brigade said that the resulting plume was visible from as far away as Finaghy, miles away on the southern side of the city.
