The charity ‘Hope 4 ME & Fibro Northern Ireland’ is holding a conference on ME and fibromyalgia on Monday, June 6 at the Stormont Hotel in Belfast.
The ‘Chasing Competent Care’ conference has been organised as part of a campaign to improve medical care for an estimated 7,000 ME, and 22,000 fibromyalgia patients in the Province.
Professor Mady Hornig of Columbia University USA will explain her ground-breaking work while other speakers will explore how patient care should be improved in future.
Hope 4 ME & Fibro NI is run solely by patient volunteers with no core government funding.
Nonetheless, the charity offers support to these neglected patients.
It organises monthly support group meetings, lobbies for improved care, and provides literature to medical professionals on their direct request. More information about the charity is available from: firstname.lastname@example.org or http://www.hope4mefibroni.btck.co.uk/
The conference begins at 6pm on Monday evening and interested parties are invited.
