Suspected firearm used in east Belfast attack


A suspected firearm was used in an attack on a 29-year-old man in east Belfast on Saturday.

Police said they received a report that the victim had been attacked after two men entered a house in the Thorndyke Street area, off Albertbridge Road, at around 3.30am.

The man received injuries to his head and hands, and was taken to hospital.

The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The police appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
