Teenager dies 'after being pulled from pool' in Ibiza

The 19-year-old was pulled from a pool in the early hours of Sunday morning, it is understood.

Emergency services were called to a villa in Sant Josep in the south-west of the island at around 3am but could not save his life, local media reported.

A post-mortem examination is under way to determine if the holidaymaker was intoxicated, according to the Diario De Ibiza.

A Foreign Office spokesman said: "We are providing assistance to the family of a British man who died on July 8 in Ibiza, and are in contact with the Spanish authorities."
