Dual carriageway closed following two-vehicle collision

“Following a two vehicle road traffic collision the dual carriageway, Moneymore Road, Magherafelt is closed to vehicles travelling towards Magherafelt,” police said.

“Vehicles are being diverted towards Desertmartin. Diversions are in place at junction of Carmean Road, Moneymore.”

Trafficwatch NI later revealed that the road has been closed in both directions.

“The Moneymore Road, Magherafelt is now closed in both directions following a collision. Diversions are in place, however the diversion routes are very busy. Avoid the area if possible,” Trafficwatch tweeted.
