Police tell NI drivers to ‘Wise up’ after horror drink drive collisions

Police Mid Ulster have posted horror images of collisions involving drunk drivers in recent days.

Posts on the page say: “Another night and yet another drunk driver arrested, crews are currently picking up the pieces of this mess on the Magherafelt Road.

“Thankfully no one killed, although you do wonder how.

“As well as drunk he doesn’t have a full driving licence so shouldn’t be on the road.

“He’s been arrested for motoring offences as well as for the drink driving.

“We’re still catching high numbers of drunk drivers on a weekly basis, individuals who clearly care little for the lives of friends, family or neighbours.

“Wise up.”

Another post on Police Mid Ulster Facebook page says: “Earlier we had a drunk on his roof, crews out patrolling have just caught another one, this time he was going sideways.

“Hunted and found, another drunk into the cells.

“He’s also been arrested for a multitude of driving offences along with the drink driving.

“Wise up”.
