Greens to be lit up in green for floodlit golf fundraiser on St Patrick’s Day
Co Fermanagh’s Lou gh Erne Resort is embracing Tourism Ireland’s # Go Green 4 Patrick’s Day where iconic images around the world are greened to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
The main hotel building will be flooded with green beams of light and the 18th hole will host a charity golf fundraiser with an exclusive Night Golf Challenge due to take place on the evening of March 17 from 7pm.
All are welcome to come along to the fun filled event for all the family, which will include traditional music in the Clubhouse and a special St. Patrick’s menu on offer in the Loughside Bar & Grill.
The unique Night Golf Challenge will take place on the 18th hole which will be lit up with Night Sports USA using fluorescent golf balls that will glow through the air against a backdrop of the floodlit hotel and 18th green.
A minimum of five pounds per person will be donated to local charity Cancer Connect. Four categories from junior u/10&16 to ladies and gents gives everyone the opportunity to win one of the prizes up for grabs for those who can beat the professionals and get nearest the pin. All proceeds raised from entry fees on the night will be donated to Cancer Connect.

The St. Patrick’s Night Golf Challenge is part of an initiative called the 100kProject which aims to raise £100,000 towards funding a house in Belfast where people with cancer can stay during their treatment.
