TUV: '˜Stalinist' Sinn Fein would not have let McKay act alone
Party leader Jim Allister said apparent Sinn Fein collusion over the presentation of evidence to the Nama inquiry “must be thoroughly exposed and investigated”.
Mr McKay has admitted having inappropriate contact with a witness to the Nama inquiry, but said he did not intend to “coach” them, as has been alleged.

Hide AdHe resigned on Thursday after the allegations were made public. Sinn Fein have denied they had knowledge of his actions.
The Assembly Standards Commissioner has an “obvious” job to do, whilst any allegation made to the PSNI of misfeasance in public office by MLA McKay “must be rigorously examined,” Mr Allister added.
Before McKay resigned as committee chairman and MLA yesterday, Mr Allister said he expected Sinn Fein to distance itself and possibly sacrifice him, “but I for one do not believe that with Stalinist type control within Sinn Fein one of their Committee chairs would have acted in isolation”.
“Politically, this exposes again the farce at the heart of power-sharing in Stormont. Just as anyone who thinks Sinn Fein is in Stormont to give Northern Ireland good government is deluded, so, too, as those who think the DUP/Sinn Fein axis can ever give us stable government.”

“Indeed, there is a certain irony that at the very time when the DUP was contriving to let Sinn Fein off the hook on the McGuigan murder, Sinn Fein was colluding to maximise DUP discomfort in the NAMA inquiry!”
