Ukip’s chairman in the Province has condemned a decision to exclude the Union Flag from Northern Ireland driving licences.
Councillor Henry Reilly said: “It is clearly wrong that people in Northern Ireland who are opposed to the EU must carry the EU emblem on their licence while being denied their own national flag.”
While new licences to be issued to the rest of the UK will soon display a Union Flag, Northern Ireland will not.
The DUP, UUP and TUV have all also condemned the move.
Driver licensing is a devolved matter, including decisions such as whether or not to include a flag on the cards.
