The two Ulster Unionist MPs have discussed possible military action in Syria with the prime minister.

Tom Elliott, who represents Fermanagh and South Tyrone, and Danny Kinahan, who was elected in May as MP for South Antrim, met David Cameron on Tuesday evening.

Mr Elliott said: “I am pleased that Danny Kinahan and I were able to meet the prime minister and a senior security advisor on Tuesday evening to discuss possible military action in Syria.

“I would encourage the DUP, when they meet David Cameron, to join us in urging the PM to ensure that any action is thought out, targeted and has a clear exit strategy.”
