Woman hit by train in Belfast

A woman has been hit by a train at Adelaide Station in Belfast.

It is understood the woman was “clipped” by the vehicle.

Translink said that the 10.35am Enterprise Train has been delayed following an incident at Adelaide involving a member of the public.

“Emergency services are attending the scene and there are some delays to Portadown line services,” the spokeswoman said.

The incident happened at 1.40am and the Enterprise service was able to proceed onwards after 11.10

“The individual involved was able to walk and is being cared for the by Emergency services. Services are now operating as normal.”

It is understood the woman was on the track when she was hit by the train.
