Alex Salmond is quite correct in asserting that both Tony Blair and Jack Straw have ‘a lot of answering to do’ about their knowledge and stewardship of the treatment of UK and other nationals held by the US in Guantanamo Bay.
Yet again parliament has been misled.
The question is whether or not the current Foreign Affairs Select Committee have the will, guts and the tenacity to overcome the establishment objections and forensically examine Blair, Straw and the UK Security and Intelligence services.
I wouldn’t hold my breath!
