Backstop will give Irish monitoring role over EU standards in Northern Ireland

No one seems to be concerned that when a backstop comes about the Irish will be in the position of trusted European Union member on the island.

They will have a monitoring and policing role over EU standards, regulation compliance and tariff control.

This will give them a measure of control over Northern Ireland trading, economic growth, funding opportunities, etc.

Inevitably it will make Irish unification more attractive .
