I think that politicians from strong Bible-based conviction are struggling hard with the increased challenge for ways of life they believe are contrary to the teaching of their church and personal conscience.
How do they keep enough electoral support and still remain loyal to their accepted teaching?
They are increasingly standing in the valley of decision between the altars of Baal and the altar of Jehovah God.
The church-going culture is reducing when children are expected to attend Sunday School to be catechised.
They can be more knowledgeable of liberal worldviews and social norms.
So the traditional voter and the oncoming liberal voter are increasing the dynamics in the political market. I think we see attempts by some to couch opposites within a new framework of accommodation that provides greater lubrication between interfaces.
