As I watched Pastor McConnell facing the courts last week it seemed to me that as Christians in Northern Ireland we need to face up to our responsibilities.
As I watched Pastor McConnell facing the Courts last week it seemed to me that as Christians living inside of Northern Ireland we need to face up to our responsibilities and what we truly believe.
Either we believe that the Bible is precious to our Hearts as the Word of God, or we don’t and we turn our backs on its teachings and moral standards.
However to do this is to throw away our Laws as lifted from The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:3-18) e.g. “Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour, Thou shalt not commit Adultery, Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s Possessions etc.
Therefore everything goes, “God is dead.” We have rejected what the Bible teaches so it’s ok to abort babies as a Human Right, it’s not murder of an innocent it’s a Human right for Women as advocated by some of our leftist politicians.
Same Sex Marriages and adoption of Children by same sex couples is ok, “after all it’s a Human Right don’t you know”.
However if you oppose Abortion, Homosexuality/Lesbianism, Gay Rights/Marriage, Evolution etc. from a Christian perspective you are considered a bigot, or one who is actively engaged in promoting Hatred against these communities.
The United Kingdom has witnessed nurses being sued for offering to pray with their patients, Campaigns launched to remove Christianity from our schools, being replaced by a Religious Study programme teaching “all Roads/Religions lead to God.”
In Canada/U.S.A. Children as young as four are being actively encouraged to explore their gender, and not to declare themselves as boys or girls till later in life.
Christian Parents objecting to this curriculum are accused of “Neglecting their Children’s Human Rights” coming under examination by state/council authorities.
The Alliance Party recently insisted that all new prospective political candidates support Gay Marriage, causing problems for Christians within their party.
Jesus says no man can serve two masters, following this up by stating we have to choose whom we serve God’s laws, or Men’s “Give unto Caesar what is Caesars and to God what is God’s” (Matthew 22:21).
Elijah the prophet also challenged the people about halting between two opinions, serving God or others (1st Kings 18:21).
We as a Christian people need to decide whom we follow on 3rd September turning up and declaring as one, “We believe in what Pastor McConnell preached, that there is only one God, only one Saviour Jesus Christ, that we believe the word of God to be absolute, both in our Laws and Morals”.
Other Religions are birthed of Satan that are inventions of Man. (Revelation 22:18-20, the words of Jesus to His Church). This isn’t aimed at Muslims only, but Mormonism, Jehovah Witnesses, Scientology, Moonies etc.
Therefore I ask Christians of all Denominations to join me on 3rd September, exercising our Human Rights in support of Pastor McConnell “Standing up for Jesus as soldiers of the Cross.”
