Comparing Israel to apartheid incites hate

In the coming weeks students in universities across the country will face 'Israel Apartheid Week'.

Organisers of Israel Apartheid Week wish to distribute offensive and mendacious propaganda to students in university campuses.

In doing so they break the law because universities have a legal duty to foster good relations between students of different nationalities, ethnic groups and/or religious beliefs.

To compare Israel with apartheid in South Africa is a falsehood which incites hatred on campus. Intolerance to Jewish and other students who are friends of Israel extends to disruption of pro-Israel events and harassment of speakers.

Every person in Israel has full equal rights; 1.6 million Arab Israelis have the same rights as the 6.8 million Jewish Israelis. Israel is a fully functioning and vibrant democracy.

Please show your support for our students.

Join our campaign and email the President of Universities UK and your constituency MP to ensure that UK universities comply with the law. All you need to do is follow this link to make a difference: https://www.israelbritain.org.uk/nifi/

We are joining with other Friends of Israel groups across the UK to support his campaign – as antisemtism rears its head please speak out on this issue.
