Condolence books are meaningless

I have previously stated in this newspaper that I am not in favour of books of condolence as I consider them meaningless.

Reading that prominent Sinn Fein members Mary Ellen Campbell and Michelle O’Neill signed one for the victims of the recent Manchester bomb only serves to strengthen that view.

Anyone who signed it after them demeaned themselves.
