May the path to Irish unity be a long one indeed
Shortly after the signing of the Anglo-Irish Agreement 1985, this unionist was suspended by the Northern Ireland Civil Service for penning a letter of protest which went straight to Sir Kenneth Bloomfield.
Last Monday night, on Ulster Television’s show ‘The View from Stormont’, he suggested that we might see a United Ireland in his lifetime.
He is 87 years of age.
I hope he lives as long as Methuselah.
