Perhaps it was a bit of opportunism to use the National Anthem at Stormont on Wednesday as an “up you” gesture to Sinn Fein and the SDLP.
However is it any worse than Sinn Fein starting every Assembly speech in Irish as a deliberate provocative ploy to reinforce their Irishness?
Is it any worse than the continual deliberate use by the SDLP of the “North of Ireland” instead of Northern Ireland, knowing that it is offensive to many.
Or is it any different from the unilateral and sectarian decision by Minister Durkan SDLP to remove the Union Flag from our driving licences?
Pot, Kettle and Black.
