Our MLAs could cut transport costs

At a time when there are cuts made some fair and some grossly unfair, should we be looking at cuts where MLAs are transported at great expense?

Back in 1924 when Ramsey Mc Donald became Prime Minister he reluctantly accepted a Daimler and £30,000 worth of shares in Mc Vitie and Price biscuits.

These shares were considered enough to cover running the car for life.

Would any of our MLAs consider looking for a generous benefactor and exchange their chauffeur driven cars, so that all party leaders could share the same car and save a lot of money?

Ramsey’s Mc Donald’s benefactor received a Title ‘Baron’ for his generosity.
