Ian Paisley deserves congratulations on his award of the Freedom of the City of London. It seems that taking a keen interest in affairs outside as well as inside Northern Ireland has earned him respect.
I remember an English MP once describe the unionists at Westminster as a distant little group mainly taken up with their own affairs. We complained that few took an interest in Northern Ireland question time. No wonder if this was the image we cultivated. Well done to young Ian for representing us as part of the affairs of the whole kingdom.
