Puzzled by unionist terms for north

The partition of Ireland was a tragic event, which has failed all the people of Ireland miserably.

The current six county state was simply created in a sectarian head count to have a unionist majority; no one can dispute this fact.

Despite of this I am puzzled by the continual use of some terms by unionist people, perhaps they could help me explain: ‘Northern Ireland’ – I live in Donegal the most Northern point of Ireland, it points a farce to that term.

‘Ulster’ – Does this include the counties of Donegal, Monaghan and Cavan?

‘The Province’ – Does this include the whole 9 counties of Ulster?

Look forward to response,
