Reflect Northern Irishness at airport

Willie Frazer is spot on with his observations about Belfast International Airport.

Whilst many goods on sale carry Irish labels, Union flags are hard to find. It is several years since I wrote to the airport management about the fact that the only complimentary newspaper available to customers was the Irish Daily Mail. The current excuse that the term ‘Ulster’ appears occasionally doesn’t really hold water as this is not synonymous with ‘Northern Ireland’ – a term which seemingly must be avoided at all costs.

Regardless of who decides on the Irish bias, it is the responsibility of the airport management to ensure a politically neutral environment, if not one which celebrates our status within the UK.
